Commemorative Evening Dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of Martin Mikayelyan

March 30, 2026
On March 24, 2026, a commemorative evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of architect Martin Mikayelyan was held at the National Museum-Institute of Architecture named after Alexander Tamanyan. Opening remarks were delivered by the Director of the Museum-Institute, Zarouhi Hayrapetyan, and the Deputy Chairman of the RA Urban Development Committee, Nune Petrosyan. The evening was hosted by reciter Anna Mikayelyan. During the event, visitors had the opportunity to discover the architect not only as a master, but also as a personality. Excerpts from his autobiography “My Path” were presented, video materials featuring memories of colleagues and friends were screened, and artist Ruben Arevshatyan gave a speech. One of the most touching moments of the evening was the speeches of Martin Mikayelyan’s three sons — Armen, Areg, and Avet — who shared personal memories, portraying him as a father, teacher, and friend. At the end of the evening, a book-catalog dedicated to the life and work of Martin Mikayelyan, authored by Avet Mikayelyan, was presented. We thank everyone who shared this important and warm evening with us.
